Journal Clubs

Engage with colleagues on the implications of cutting-edge research for your own clinical practice

1-hour journal club sessions focusing on the latest research, selected specifically for relevance to your practice

How Journal Clubs Differ from Traditional Continuing Education Programs

Dynamic Discussion Sessions: Held bi-monthly via Zoom, these sessions offer a platform for interactive discussions where participants explore key insights, exchange perspectives, and brainstorm practical applications of the research presented. This learning through collective expertise- the wisdom of the room- encourages new ideas that lead to improved clinical practice.

Earn While You Learn: Enhance your professional development while earning continuing education credits (CEUs). With each session offering 2 CEUs, participants can accumulate a total of 8 CEUs across four enriching discussions. For the Direct Access course, participants can accumulate a total of 10 Direct Access CEUs during 5 separate sessions. Note that these CEUs have been approved in Pennsylvania

Seize the Opportunity: Don’t miss out on the chance to connect with like-minded professionals and expand your knowledge base. Join our vibrant community of physical therapists committed to lifelong learning and practice excellence. Together, let’s unlock new possibilities and shape the future of physical therapy.

  • • 4 sessions- 2 CEUs per session- 8 total CEUs (note that the direct access course offers 10 direct access CEUs)
    • Each 1-hour virtual Zoom session (sessions occur approximately every other month) is focused on one article
    • Participants must complete and submit a worksheet for the article prior to each session
    • Participants may miss a session or sessions- CEUs will be adjusted accordingly

  • All CEUs – approval in PA; other states negotiated on an individual basis with course participants- note that I will make every effort to obtain CEU approval for all course participants, and that costs for this approval may need to be shared.
