Target Audience- clinicians and individuals who want to improve skills and knowledge to improve services provided to children with spinal cord injury and their families.

This continuing education course is designed to help physical therapists implement evidence and content from Chapter 24-Spinal Cord Injury- into clinical practice. The chapter will be reviewed in detail so that the evidence and content lead to acquisition of new knowledge and clinician practice change. The course is divided into three separate virtual/on-line sessions. The first session will be asynchronous and focus on general background information about Pediatric Spinal Cord Injury- all attendees will be required to review this session and complete a knowledge assessment prior to the synchronous sessions. The two subsequent synchronous sessions will focus on examination including implementation and interpretation of tests and measures for children with this diagnosis (session 2) and effective intervention strategies (session 3). These two sessions will be interactive and include case-based discussions and video to emphasize successes and challenges related to knowledge-to-action. Participants can opt for an additional follow up case submission that demonstrates application of principles discussed during the course.
